As Shava Nerad, she has been working professionally on the Internet for over 25 years, and has spent most of her career at the intersection of Internet and society issues. In 2003 she was nominated for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by the reporting staff of the Portland (OR) Business Journal. At the time, she was VP/Marketing and Business Development for the third fastest growing private company in Oregon.
